The scope for this project was developed in conjunction with the clients desire to develop a functional, sheltered outdoor living environment within a tricky set of confinements.

In the middle of 2019, Karori Childcare Centre reached out to Sole Landscapes to undertake redevelopment of the playspace as per the set of drawings and specifications put together by the great team at Get Outside.

This outdoor transformation was undertaken alongside Kerryn Dunshea Interior Design. The brief was to create usable and safe outdoor spaces for the clients to entertain guests and their teenaged children.  

Nestled in the village of Seatoun and covered by a louvred roof, this cosy and comfortable outdoor dining space is constructed to ensure the outdoor dining experience seamlessly tied into the interior kitchen.

Teaming up with Noble Fox Landscape Design, Sole Landscapes’ brief was to oversee transformation from this once stale 1990s subdivision house into the perfect kids and parents backyard retreat.

This comprehensive landscaping project, undertaken in collaboration with Hamish Moorhead Landscapes, transformed the entire property into multi-functional outdoor spaces for the entire family.

Positioned on a unique elevated section in the heart of Khandallah, the team were presented the opportunity to undertake a complete renovation of the back yard that was essentially a blank canvas of massive opportunity.

This comprehensive backyard transformation involved extensive excavation and construction work in close proximity to the existing house, presenting unique challenges that were successfully overcome.
