An awkward, elevated rear yard became a modern, functional garden room for entertaining and family life. Restricted access made it a real feat: an excavator was lifted in and conveyor belts removed the demolition and excavated material from the rear of the property.
A custom fireplace, built in situ because nothing prefabricated could reach the site, anchors the entertaining area, tied to a timber bench seat. A barbecue sits in a Dekton benchtop with Adobo Vulcan clad cabinetry, framed by rendered block walls and porcelain tile, with a spa on the upper patio and a matching wood shed. The design was led by Kerryn Dunshea Interior Design.
