The Landscape Industries Association of New Zealand Incorporated, trading as Registered Master Landscapers, has supported New Zealand’s landscaping community since 1985.
Registered Master Landscapers is New Zealand’s only association representing the wider landscaping industry.
Our members work across landscape design, construction, planting, garden care and maintenance in residential and commercial environments.
We support members with industry advocacy, regulatory and business updates, professional resources, networking opportunities and events. Becoming a member can help strengthen your reputation, grow your professional network and give the landscaping industry a stronger collective voice.
Which membership is right for you?
Best suited to: Companies and self-employed landscape professionals who have been in business for at least two
years and can demonstrate high standards of expertise and professional conduct.
You can apply for accreditation in one or more areas:
– Design
– Build
– Maintain
Accredited Members may use the Registered Master Landscapers logo and trusted mark and receive a dedicated
profile on the Registered Master Landscapers website.
Best suited to: Individuals or companies that are not yet eligible for Accredited membership because they are new to independent business ownership, have been operating for less than two years, or are employed within another landscaping business.
Associate membership provides a pathway towards Accredited membership and access to professional support, industry information, networking and member opportunities.
Associate Members may not use the Accredited Member logo or trusted mark.
Best suited to: Students and apprentices currently completing a recognised landscape-related course, either part-time or full-time.
Student membership helps you connect with the industry, attend networking opportunities and stay informed about Registered Master Landscapers activities.
There is no annual Student membership fee.

Be an individual or company who has been in business for a minimum of two years and can demonstrate excellence in the areas of expertise in the categories for which they are applying for accreditation, or is

Accredited membership is available in one or more of the following areas:
– Design: Landscape design for built projects
– Build: Hardscape, softscape and landscape installation
– Maintain: Landscape and garden maintenance
After receiving your application, we will explain the supporting evidence and assessment required for your selected areas.
Accredited annual subscription fees are based on your business’s annual turnover, starting from $300 + GST per year.
Associate membership is $250 + GST per year.
Student membership is $50 + GST per year.
A non-refundable application fee applies to Accredited and Associate applications.
