The clients wanted a seamless extension of their indoor living that worked around existing mature kowhai trees and the level changes between patio and pool. Sole Landscapes made a Flare fireplace the centrepiece of a modern outdoor living patio, with light grey porcelain tiles carrying through to the pool.
An elevated vitex deck under the kowhai conceals the retractable pool cover, glass fencing opens up views and adds depth, and a Laurus nobilis hedge creates a lush, resort-like privacy screen. Careful setting out managed the height and drainage falls so the preferred tile could be used throughout, and the existing kowhai were preserved. The project was completed on budget.
