A full property renovation for keen tennis players left almost no room for a tennis court within site coverage limits. The solution was a permeable court that collects and stores its own water, releasing it slowly to the public stormwater system, so it did not count against coverage.
Cantilevered in concrete due to the cliff-edge site, the court was topped with Permcon permeable concrete laid to within 6mm across the whole surface using a K-form grid, then finished with artificial grass. With no machine access, concrete was craned over the house in a skip bin and poured to a flawless, level, free-draining finish.
