The brief was an oasis, resort-style with a tropical feel, finished in time for Christmas. Onlandscapes built it around established tree roots, underground services and an existing earthquake-affected pool with varying levels, working from a Botanic Landscape Architects design.
Highlights include an artificial turf pitch-and-putt green, an outdoor kitchen with a super-white concrete bench and fire, louvred pergolas, an outdoor shower, and a poolside mural in place of a non-compliant mirror. Late material changes were absorbed through clear communication, and at peak up to thirty people were on site to hit the deadline. This is the built companion to the Botanic-designed Strowan Residence.
