Registered Master Landscapers in association with Prebble Turf World are proud to bring you the Young Landscaper of the Year Competition each year.
The competition offers significant opportunities for young, motivated landscapers to showcase their skills and compete alongside the best emerging landscape professionals to become New Zealand Young Landscaper of the Year Champion.

Supporters, sponsors, and people from throughout the industry all gathered at Nichol's Garden Center in Ōtepoti | Dunedin to cheer on contestants from around Aotearoa | New Zealand as they competed for the title of Young Landscaper of the Year for 2023!
Beyond the practical components of landscaping, the contestants had to complete written tests, interviews and perform speeches to an audience of judges.
Cash prizes were handed out to the top three contestant along with various tools and products provided by their sponsors.

The annual Young Landscapers of the Year competition attracted our biggest crowd yet!
Supporters, sponsors, and people from throughout the industry all gathered at Luitjens Landscaping in Drury to cheer on the contestants as we put them through paces.
In true Auckland fashion, the rain insisted on rearing its ugly head throughout the day, but it wasn't enough to put off our young contestants, who battled through the weather and did an amazing job.
RESULTS
Kae who works at Luijten Landscaping won this year’s award from a hot field of nine young landscapers and is now preparing to enter the 2018 Young Horticulturist of the Year competition. Congratulations also goes to Brad Murphy from Natural Habitats who won second place and Zara Haines from Humphreys Landscaping who came in third.
The judges and conference delegates were blown away by the high standard of entrants and we wish them all good luck when competing in the 2019 competition. Given the high caliber of all nine finalists the future of the industry is in great shape if these young potential leaders are any indication of the talent that exists amongst our members.
This weekend saw the 2017 Prebble Seeds Young Landscaper of the Year finals in Auckland. After a grueling day on the tools, putting their skills to use, the day finished with a speech by the contestants on the topic of what they can do for the landscaping industry.

The City Parks Services Young Landscaper of the Year Awards 2016 was decided after a vigerous set of challenges, tests, and a sustainability speach. The competitiors were Rowan (Goom Landscapes), Sheldon (Goom Landscapes), Paul (Humphreys Landscaping) & Brad (Natural Habitats).
After the dust had settled the winner was Paul from Humphreys Landscaping!
